Dunk Comedy

I just got into New Orleans for my friend’s wedding. It’s been over 5 years since I’ve been here. Back then I was living in South Florida, and my friend and I were debating whether we should move to New York City together, or I should move to New Orleans and we’d get a place along the river, next to the ferry to the French Quarter. We of course moved to New York, but just seeing the wonderful, old, layered buildings I could have lived in, and feeling the joy in the streets, I sometimes wonder if we should have chosen this place. I don’t drink, but I like that people aren’t hiding their beers in paper bags on the streets and are just enjoying life.

I think I’ll go get a Hubig’s Pie now….
